Release Date: 30th December 2011

Chesterfield’s 4-star Casa hotel is celebrating a successful first year in business and a sell-out Christmas by throwing the most glamorous New Year’s Eve party in Derbyshire.

To round off a successful year, Casa is hosting a traditional Spanish Nochevieja celebration – with grapes provided! Following a six-course meal and music provided by resident DJs, guests can partake in the tradition, which involves eating 12 grapes from the stroke of midnight, one for each chime. Guests can also end the night in officially the UK’s comfiest beds as voted for in the 2011 Best Kept Secret Awards by

In the last 12 months, the independent Spanish-themed hotel not only achieved the 4* AA rating it was aiming for, but went that bit further by gaining the highest AA merit score in Derbyshire as well as being ranked higher than any other hotel in Derbyshire by TripAdvisor. Impressively, the hotel also fed 15,000 guests in the Cocina restaurant and served over 120,000 drinks in its cocktail bar, Barca.

Casa’s owner, entrepreneur and rally driver, Steve Perez said: “Casa has had a fantastic year and what better way to start 2012 than with a fantastic party. We have smashed targets and won more awards than we ever expected. The Christmas parties have been receiving great feedback and we do not doubt that New Year will be a night to remember.”

You can enjoy Casa right into 2012 by taking advantage of their fantastic accommodation package, which includes a fabulous New Years Day brunch.
