The glory days of British motoring return to Chesterfield as classic car club spends weekend at Casa

Release Date: 4th October 2011

The glory days of British motoring returned to Chesterfield recently when the Panther Car Club held its dinner dance and AGM at Casa Hotel.

Having held their Grand Gathering at nearby Crich Tramway Village, the Panther Car Club – which is made up of a Europe-wide membership of classic car owners and enthusiasts – moved on to Casa for a weekend spent dealing with Club business, catching up with old friends and enjoying a special barbeque on one night and a more formal dinner dance on the other.

The weekend also gave Casa’s owner, Steve Perez, a chance to share his famous passion for motoring with like-minded people – and on the Sunday, he treated members to an exclusive display of his own celebrated collection of modern classic cars.

Val Bridges, Chairman of the Panther Car Club, said: “Casa is a superb 4 star hotel . The food was second to none and I can honestly say we could not fault the service we received. The rooms are immaculate and comfortable down to the finest detail and the staff are all very pleasant and friendly!”

“I have had a flood of emails and contact from members all congratulating me on the choice of hotel. A big thank you to everybody at Casa – I sincerely hope we have the occasion to stay with you again – and special thanks to Steve Perez, the owner, for making us so welcome and bringing his modern classics to the hotel for us to see and enjoy.”

Rating Casa on TripAdvisor, Val gave the hotel five stars out of five for value, sleep quality, cleanliness and service, with the hotel responding by saying that it hopes it can host more Panther Car Club events in the future.

Casa owner, Steve Perez, said: “Events like these allow me to combine my passion for modern classic cars with helping the Casa team ensure that organisations like the Panther Car Club are made to feel welcome and that their activities at the hotel run as smoothly as possible.

“We’re very pleased that the Panther Car Club had such an enjoyable weekend staying with us, and we look forward to hosting them – and other car clubs and similar organisations – in the future.”

Conveniently located just off Junction 29 of the M1, Casa’s flexible facilities and approach to events allows it to cater to the specific needs of organisations looking to hold conferences or corporate events, as well as to those of people looking for a unique venue for a wedding or party.

Casa has 11 purpose-built conference rooms capable of seating from 2 people up to 280 people, with all meeting rooms including air conditioning, adjustable lighting (colour co-ordination available in the Barcelona suite), natural daylight, free high speed wireless broadband, conference telephone and breakout areas.
