Tripadvisor came up trumps with this hotel. Having searched through endless websites for a good hotel for a Birthday surprise for my wife in the Peak District area, somewhere close enough to visit Chatsworth House. The Casa Hotel came up on several searches, but I think it was the location that kept putting me off, however after reading a number of the reviews of Tripadvisor I finally booked direct with the hotel.
We booked two doubles as we had good friends also joining us for the weekend. We arrived mid morning on Saturday as the Hotel had also kindly arranged the Chatsworth Tickets at knock down prices, (saving about 30% from gate price)
We had a coffee together in a welcoming bar area with very polite staff, then set off for the day.
We didn’t actually book in until we returned around 5ish and that was effortless. We had two rooms in fairly close to each other, which were excellent. Decor was modern and all the finishes were first class, together with a very large luxurious bed.
Rather than going out into Chesterfield for a meal we arranged a 7.30pm booking in the Hotel, mainly because a number of the reviews had recommended it. We were not disappointed!! , together with a nice bottle of Bubbly which I arranged, the meal was great, not hurried, staff were very attentive, and the food first class.
The next day breakfast was also a great experience, with so many options on a “full English”!!
Yes I would definitely recommend, and if I was ever visiting this area again, this would be my choice.
