This esteemed certification is one of the UK’s most respected symbols of excellence in food quality, traceability and sustainability, further underscoring the farm’s commitment to high standards in every aspect of its operations.
The certification proudly affirms that Walton Lodge Farm Estate, located on the picturesque edge of the Peak District, upholds the highest standards in food safety, environmental stewardship and animal welfare. Nestled in this stunning landscape, the farm is home to a diverse range of animals, including the iconic native-breed Belted Galloway and Highland cattle, hardy Dorset sheep, heritage Berkshire pigs, free-range chickens, and a thriving colony of honeybees. Every aspect of the farm, from sustainable farming practices to compassionate animal care, reflects a commitment to preserving both nature and the animals that call it home.
The farm provides seasonal meats, eggs and honey directly to Peak Edge Hotel’s Red Lion Restaurant and Casa Hotel’s Cocina Restaurant, offering guests an authentic farm-to-fork experience defined by unparalleled freshness, exceptional quality and a commitment to sustainability.
